Romania through my eyes … by Ilias P. Papageorgiadis

I recently read the book “Romania through my eyes…” after meeting its author Mr. Ilias P. Papageorgiadis who is the owner of one of the most active real estate agencies in Bucharest, More Real Estate Services. After I started it I couldn’t let it go until it was finished because every chapter made me curious to see what’s next. Real estate adventures, hiring personnel, business environment, analyses, interviews are the main topics … Continue reading Romania through my eyes … by Ilias P. Papageorgiadis

Laptop-ers not allowed

The other days I saw in Yahoo News an interesting article about the new policy of some US-based coffee shops for taking out the plugs so the laptop-ers not to have posibility to spend hours there surfing the web. They said that is a recession issue because they come, order a coffee, connect with the free wi-fi network and ocupy a table for a long period. Especially for the owners of an online business, staying in the coffee shop and working seems to be a part of a daily routine. One of the advantages of the newest online technologies is … Continue reading Laptop-ers not allowed

Movie characters in the central area of Amsterdam

Batman, The Shinny Knight and others are popular figures in the central area oa Amsterdam. As I’ve been told, the basic rules for a pleasing Amsterdam experience are: 1. Never take with you all the money, the cards and the documents because is full of pick-pockets (I didn’t see any); 2. If you visit Red Light District, stick to the areas where are cameras; otherwise you are in risk of unpleasant happenings; 3. Don’t take photos of the girls from the red windows – it is possible to be “polite” asked to erase them; 4. If you want to taste … Continue reading Movie characters in the central area of Amsterdam

Panama again

“Panama’s newly elected president is making a big impression,” writes Editorial Assistant Rebecca Tyre from the Panama capital this morning. “Ricardo Martinelli, of the Democratic Change party, was sworn in as president on July 1 and has so far shocked the entire nation. “He’s been keeping his campaign promises! “Everyone in the country is long familiar with Martinelli’s name.
