The Sun sends to Earth in one hour the amount of energy which can fill the necessities of our society for a full year

This weekend I’ve started to read Richard Branson’s Like a Virgin and as I reached the chapter about the green energies my eyes were caught by a weird idea concluded from the research made by one of the entities within Virgin group: The Sun sends to Earth in as little as one hour the amount of energy we all humans consume in one year. This idea proved one again the huge business potential which is hidden in the industry of renewable energies. Of course, some may say that there are still territories where the electricity doesn’t exist but this is … Continue reading The Sun sends to Earth in one hour the amount of energy which can fill the necessities of our society for a full year

The MBA and recruiting

For me the MBA is just an investment in the personal growth and not a vehicle to get a better job. That’s why I’ve chosen to develop myself as an entrepreneur and to make things happen, no matter what than to wait for things to happen. I just found an article “MBA Recruiting Is Down Again” MBA recruiting deteriorated this spring largely because of declines at top-ranked schools, with nearly half of all business schools surveyed reporting that on-campus hiring activity was little changed or had decreased, according to new research. The survey of 84 business schools conducted in late … Continue reading The MBA and recruiting

The Forbes List of 24 Self-Made Women Billionaires

I just came across the new list of the self-made women billionaires published by Forbes and I’ve noticed that many of them come from China and their fortunes are related to real estate and construction. Oprah (one of my favourite TV stars) is among them. It is  a record-setting year for women on the Forbes Billionaires list. For starters, there were more than ever, 138 in the ranks, up from 104. Plus there were also more who started their own businesses, 24. Among the new women are designer Tory Burch and restaurateur Peggy Cherng, who runs Chinese food chain Panda … Continue reading The Forbes List of 24 Self-Made Women Billionaires

No office, no boss, no boundaries — rise of the nomadic rich

I just found this article on Cnn Travel about the new breed of cash-rich, entrepreneurial mavericks who are taking the dream and traveling with it. The author of the article says that they also pay a price – loneliness and strange relationships. I don’t agree with this as most of the highly successful internet marketers from my circle have superb families or gorgeous girlfriends, spend a lot of time with them and their friends and enjoy most their lives. It’s a great read. Continue reading No office, no boss, no boundaries — rise of the nomadic rich
