Success Principle #35 says “99% is a bitch; 100% is a breeze.”
When you make a 100% commitment to something, you eliminate exceptions. You no longer have to waste time or energy debating whether you are going to do something. It’s already been decided.
If you commit to reading an hour every day, no matter what, you read an hour a day. You don’t debate whether you’ll keep that commitment.
If you vow to not work past 6 p.m., you don’t make exceptions. You’re 100 percent committed, so it’s not even a question that you’ll be out the door at 6 p.m.
Many people say that they are 100 percent committed to their success. But upon closer inspection, they realize that they make excuses and exceptions to the promises they’ve made. This lowers their commitment to less than 100 percent – and reduces their success.
