Premier League Trophy on Display at Manx Telecom Bay Festival

3 Days/ 30 Bands – 18 – 20th of June, Bay Festival, Isle of Man – among live shows: Lemar, The Saturdays, JLS, Spandau Ballet, The Feeling, The Coronas, Calvin Harris, Diversity and The Cutting Crew .

It has just been confirmed by Chelsea FC and 188FOUNDATION that the Premier League Trophy will be on display at the Manx Telecom Bay Festival. The Trophy will sit on the first floor of the 2-storey inflatable 188CUBE between 1 and 5pm this Saturday the 20th June.

Festival-goers will be able to have their picture taken with the trophy in exchange for a small donation to The Children’s Centre. On the same afternoon, festival organisers have announced a ‘Festival Taster’ for the young and not so young with free admission before 2:30pm for up to 2 under 14s accompanied by an adult ticket-holder and the chance to enjoy a Manx Lifestyle Festival alongside the musical acts and TT fun rides. To finish off the afternoon the under 14’s can see Diversity perform one of their explosive dances.

With the weekend fast approaching, the tent set up in Nobles Park and the finishing touches being added before Friday, some of the artists have begun expressing their excitement. Some of them are actually coming in early to do some Island sight-seeing. So look out for celebs in your town!
Boy George has been to the Isle of Man once before but it has been a long time: “I have never performed with any of those people before, it will be fun!”

The Coronas are looking forward to it to and say that the festival will be extremely important with all the great headline acts: “The line up for the festival in the Isle of Man looks great, we are really really looking forward to it. It’s going to be a great weekend. We saw the tent and some pictures online, it looks like it’s really going to be a great weekend!”
Kim Wilde said: “I’ve got to know most of the artists who are going to be performing. It’s going to be a great day!”

Speaking about the festival, Lemar added: “I can’t wait to get in front of the people, hopefully the weather will be great and the people come out to party, and we can bring it! I’ll sing all the hits, hopefully throw in a bit of curve balls as well.” He also remarked on his fondness of JLS: “They are really cool guys, they supported me on my last tour last year. It will be cool to catch up with them and The Saturdays on June 18th”.
There is now Box Offices on the festival site open until 8pm each day running up to the festival and up to midnight on the nights of the festival. Tickets are still available for all three days and can be purchased online at http://www.bayfestival.im .
