Losing my Virginity by Richard Branson on Soundcloud

The other days I’ve just started my Soundcloud account – the purpose being to upload some audio books, interviews and … mixes. The first uploads were some recordings I have from a friend in UK containing pieces of Losing My Virginity read by Richard Branson. I find Mr. Branson the most inspiring entrepreneur ever and I usually read his books, follow the news about him. Maybe this means that I am a fan. Yes, why not?

Here are the recordings:

Epidode one: http://soundcloud.com/adiniculescu/losing-my-virginity-episode-1
Episode two: http://soundcloud.com/adiniculescu/losing-my-virginity-episode-2
Episode three: http://soundcloud.com/adiniculescu/losing-my-virginity-episode-3
Episode four: http://soundcloud.com/adiniculescu/losing-my-virginity-episode-4

Everybody has obstacles and Richard points out that the difference between the success and failure is made of how you approach them and the kind of actions you take to overcome them.

20 Golden Keys to Going Global

Recently I’ve decided to narrow the focus of my blog towards Entrepreneurship and to strive to add as much value possible to the ones aiming to have their own business or taking the existing one to the next level. One of the key issues for the local business these days is how to add new strings of income or even starting new ventures by exporting and/or importing.
Of course, imports and exports has to start with the basics and it is mandatory to have and master the newest information to get started properly.

Of course, there are hundreds and thousands of resources available online and also I recommend some academic stuff like a master or even an MBA but these are not mandatory. What is important is to gather the correct knowledge, apply and update it. I’ve stumbled two weeks ago upon a new guide called “20 Golden Keys to Going Global”which is a practical guide entitled for every entrepreneur who wants to start an import export business and business owners who want to expand into new markets.

The smartest risk of becoming an entrepreneur

The other days I saw an article about Louis Lautman which founded International Sales University, a sales training and development company that works with top Fortune 500 Companies and hosts public seminars. I am on his e-mail list so I receive from time to time updates about his overall activity.

Louis Lautman started his own sales training company after three years working in a corporate environment. He faced many challenges when he first started his own business, but now trains sales people for Fortune 500 Companies.

From this article I selected for myself the core idea that no matter how good the business cards are and how great the meetings will take place, the essential in your own business is to close deals.

That meant he had to turn on his prospecting funnel by creating a system for following up with the people he had been cold calling. He began calling everyone he knew and telling them about his business. He went to networking events and established a social media presence. He read every book he could on his industry and began implementing all the strategies he learned. And, perhaps most importantly, he never gave up on his follow-ups. Soon enough, he was talking to prospects and making presentations.

I liked very much his thinking: “Staying at my corporate job — not starting a business — was the real risk. Above all else, I feared never knowing if my business could have been a success.” By the way, this is a much bigger risk than starting and failing in your own business.

How to Start Your Google + account

After 4 years of being active in social media, mostly in English speaking areas, I can say that Google has choosen a great strategy by not allowing anyone to register for an account to its latest masterpiece Google +.

Social media means virtual real estate assets so I am as passionate about it as I am with the regular down to earth real estate.

Google has the right mindset, people, investment, knowledge, logistic and the overall resources to make this big. Only few people if we take as a measurement the total amount of social media activists were invited so they created a huge buzz around their project. Great strategy, btw.

Here is a video published by Google explaining more about their project:

What we think actually shapes the world around us

As I am in the middle of the journey to discover myself and improve all areas of my life using training, coaching, and an improved structured way to do things, by far the most important thing to focus on is the mindset.

Looking back, I’ve attracted in my life positive and negative facts, various happenings and people and the conclusion is that all these were dragged as a reflection of my thoughts and feelings. Below is a quote from The Secret and is one of the many you will find in the next period among the articles published here.

Your mind thinks thoughts and the pictures are broadcast back as your life experience. You not only create your life with your thoughts, but your thoughts add powerfully to the creation of the world. If you thought that you were insignificant and had no power in this world, think again. Your mind is actually shaping the world around you.

As I’ve really shifted my way of thinking at a moment in the past I can see all these happening all around. No matter what we do, the mind is our most valuable asset because it is the source for everything we need to put in our lives.
